What about beauty that captures our heart. The vastness of this world adorned with beauty. A thousand and one colors of petals filling the crook and crannies of the earth, with different combinations of patterns and shapes, and often made complete with a drop or two of rain droplets and dews. The perfect settings and symmetries of the world, cotton of clouds majestically roam the sky, reflecting the blueness of the ocean. There is something about Him and beauty.
Just like the sweetness of honey and blueberries, it invites you to yearn for what is to come. Those feelings, thou they are not perfect in worldly sense, but it allows you to have a sip of heavenly perfection, until you drown in submission trying to extrapolate on how does those feelings were to taste in heaven, Jannatul A'la. So does beauty of sound and sight, it soaks into you internally, and freshen up those fatigued soul. Those overwhelming feeling makes sailing the seven seas a breeze and reminds you that these steps through hardships going to be worthwhile.
For Our Muslimah, this is the reason why Allah ask us to be covered :)
"Nur, everything that God made valuable in the world is covered and hard to get to. Where do you find diamonds? Deep down in the ground covered and protected. Where do you find pearls? Deep down at the bottom of the ocean covered up and protected in a beautiful shell. Where do you find gold? Way down in the mine, covered over with layers and layers of rock. You've got to work hard to get to them."
"Your body is sacred. You're far more precious than diamonds and pearls, and you should be covered too."
From ’Abdullaah Ibn Mas’ud R.A who said that the Prophet SAW said, “No one will enter Paradise who has an atom’s weight of pride in his heart.” A man said, “What if a man likes his clothes to look good and his shoes to look good?” He said, “Allah is beautiful and loves beauty. Pride means denying the truth and looking down on people.” [Sahih Muslim]
Allah SWT is beautiful and loves beauty. Beautify ourselves without extravagant. Be humble and Stand for what is true. Allah SWT will love you =D
